Human Hair Lace Wig Care Instructions

Human hair wigs should be washed in cool to luke-warm water with a mild shampoo and conditioner. (Using conditioner is highly recommended to reduce tangling.) Do not scrub the wig, just swish it from side to side and dunk it up and down. Wigs should be hung to dry. (Human hair wigs may also be set when wet. See Styling below.)
Once dry, apply detangling spray onto the wig and comb or brush (wig brush) depending on the type of wig you have AND SEAL WITH KNOT SEALER. Recommendation is NO HEAT. Forced Heat from Blow Dryers and Flat Iron Will Destroy Your UNIT. All High Quality Wigs have a silicone treatment on them and the more you shampoo and apply heat it weakens the quality of the wig even the Virgin Wigs. Full Lace Wigs ARE HANTIED AND MUST BE CARED FOR DIFFERENT THAN A MACHINE MADE WIG!

Note: It is extremely important to familiarize yourself with the texture of your full lace wig. Use products that work well with your unit’s texture made for Lace Wigs! Products you use on your own hair type may not work well on your full lace wig.

Step 1
Before shampooing your full or front  lace wig, brush gently, from the tips of the wig to the base/roots. Never begin combing at the top or middle, this will damage and tangle the unit.

Step 2
Place your full lace wig on a Styrofoam wig head and use T Pins to secure.

Step 3
In a spray bottle, mix a capful of shampoo and fill the remaining with cool water. It is important to choose a shampoo that is suitable for your full lace wig’s texture. Products that may work well are Brandywine, Design Essential Sulfate Free, Nexxus, Aveda, Paul Mitchell Sulfate FREE. Or products that Say for LACE wigs

Step 4
Place your full lace wig on the Styrofoam head under a gentle stream of cool water. Pour or spray the shampoo mixture evenly over the wig and use a wide tooth rounded end comb to distribute the shampoo. WIGS   OR DUNK THE WIG UP AND DOWN IN A SINK DO NOT SCRUB THE UNIT.

Remember to always comb starting at the ends of the hair to the roots.

Step 5
Rinse the unit thoroughly on the wig head using a gentle stream of cool water.

Step 6
In a spray bottle, mix a capful of conditioner and fill the remaining with cool water. It is important to choose a conditioner that is suitable for your full lace wig’s texture. Products that may work well are Brandywine, Design Essential Sulfate Free, Nexxus, Aveda, Paul Mitchell Sulfate FREE. Or products that  Say for LACE WIGS

Step 7
Place your full lace wig on the Styrofoam head under a gentle stream of cool water. Pour or spray the conditioner mixture evenly on the ENDS of the wig NOT over the wig and use a wide tooth rounded end comb to distribute the conditioner. Remember to always comb starting at the ends of the hair to the roots. NEVER PUT CONDITIONER on the BASE ROOT of the WIG the wig will SHED and FALL OUT. ONLY ON The shaft of the hair never the root/base.

Step 8
Rinse your full lace unit thoroughly on the wig head using a gentle stream of cool water.

Step 9
Towel blot your full lace wig gently in a patting motion, while still on your wig head.Spray on leave in conditioner and allow to air dry. This is a great time to part or apply foam/setting lotion to WRAP OR SET YOUR WIG and LET AIR DRY DO NOT PUT ON BASE OF THE WIG

Step 10
To minimize shedding, apply knot sealer. Once your unit is dry, simply Invert lace base to expose knots.. Shake sealer contents well, hold bottle upright and aim at lace-base. Spritz on Knot Sealer using mist pump being careful not to allow excess sealer to penetrate into hair.  LIGHTLY FROM A DISTANCE Blow dry lightly (Do NOT BLOW DRY UP CLOSE. Repeat as needed. (TWO COATS ARE RECOMMENDED) Creates a long-lasting invisible seal that is permanently flexible!

Important: If you use products for your own natural hair on a Full Lace or Lace Front Wig you can destroy your unit. It will shed and or knot up. Only have your Lace Wig Colored AND CARED FOR by A Professional Wig STYLIST. We recommend coloring ONLY RAW VIRGIN HAIR ONLY! Anything else will cause Dryness, Tangling and Shedding. This includes setting lotions and mousses. ALS0 WHEN ROLLING YOUR UNIT DO NOT ROLL TIGHT TO SCALP IT WILL PULL OUT THE HAIR FROM THE LACE. REMEMBER THESE ARE HANDTIED KNOTTINGS AND WILL CAUSE UNIT TO THIN OR SHOW WEAR INTO A BALLSPOT. NOT RECOMMEND TO SLEEP IN ROLLERS WITH YOUR UNIT, WILL CAUSE SHEDDING AND BALDING UP THE UNIT.

Life of Units Depend On Quality of The Human Hair:  If properly cared for you can have the luxury of 1 year to 2 years wear if you are not sleeping in the unit. If Not cared for properly you can destroy the unit in a matter of days of applying wrong products AND HEAT STYLING! IF YOU SLEEP IN YOUR UNIT 6 MONTHS IS NORMAL EXPECTANCY OF WEAR!
